Meet Our Montana's Dedicated Board
Our Montana is a unique organization dedicated to the promotion of stewardship and enjoyment of Montana’s natural, historic, and recreational resources. The organization operates without a membership structure and relies on a board of volunteers who work on their projects aligned with the organization’s goals. Here’s a brief summary of some of the notable contributions and expertise of some board members:
Ralph has played a key role in locating the campsites of Captain Clark along the Yellowstone River and identifying the narrow corridor of the Bozeman Trail. His historical research and discovery contribute to preserving and sharing Montana’s rich history.
Dave has conducted extensive research and produced detailed reports on historically important battlefields in Montana. Additionally, he has identified and recorded a significant inventory of native rock art sites in central and eastern Montana, adding to the understanding of the region’s cultural heritage.
Ross focuses on the changes in the Yellowstone River and their impact on river trails. His work helps in ensuring the conservation and accessibility of river-related recreational resources.
Dale has contributed by developing data for the free telephone app “Explore the Yellowstone River,” which offers a valuable resource for visitors interested in exploring the 700-mile-long Yellowstone River.
Patty has conducted original research for her books on Red Lodge and Stillwater County, contributing to the preservation of the area’s history and culture.
