OUR MONTANA EXPLORES THE JUDITH RIVER

Our Montana leads a group of conservationists on a recent canoe trip to explore the Judith River to its confluence in the Upper Missouri River National Monument. The purpose of the trip was to better understand and photograph the recreation and wildlife qualities of the Rivers environments. Included in the group with Our Montana were representatives of the Montana Wilderness Association, Montana Backcountry Hunter’s Association and Friends of the National Monuments. The corridor of the Judith River has outstanding beauty and is rich in wildlife and at high water levels is a challenging canoe trip. Included were the following people, Mike Penfold, Dick Walton, Susan Newell, Bill Cunningham, Polly Burk, and Karen Boerger.
