Middle Yellowstone Watershed Alliance

Middle Yellowstone Watershed Alliance

Collaborative Stewardship from Livingston to Intake

The Middle Yellowstone Watershed Alliance (MYWA) is a collaborative effort dedicated to the long-term health of the Yellowstone River between Livingston and Intake.

Operating as a project of Our Montana, Inc., the Alliance brings together landowners, tribal nations, conservation districts, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community members to advance science-based restoration, watershed monitoring, and coordinated stewardship across this vital river corridor.

Our Mission

To protect, restore, and steward the Middle Yellowstone River through collaborative, science-based efforts that support ecological health, sustainable agriculture, and resilient communities.

Our Focus Area

From Livingston downstream to Intake, this 85-mile stretch of river supports agriculture, wildlife habitat, recreation, cultural heritage, and local economies.

The Alliance works to strengthen coordination and shared responsibility throughout this region.
